Julia Swan
Editorial Assitant
Julia Swan began her journalism career in the 1970s as correspondent for her town in The Patriot Ledger, a suburban daily newspaper in the Boston area.
After moving to Pennsylvania in 1992, she became editor of the East Penn Press, a position she held for several years.
After doing freelance writing for the Reading Eagle for a few years, she returned to the Press as a part-time editorial assistant, then downsized to freelance writing again about 10 years ago.
Julia now writes the monthly Upper-Lower Milford column, formats student profiles, helps proofread the East Penn Press and occasionally takes on other assignments.
