Katie McDonald is a sports writer with Bethlehem Press and occasionally covers sports for Lehigh Valley Press' other weekly newspapers as well as the Times News.
After graduating from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications, Katie worked as a proofreader for the magazine, Cable Guide, published by TVSM Inc. in Horsham.
She went on to teach high school journalism and English at Notre Dame East Stroudsburg where she was the moderator of the school newspaper, The Shield.
Since joining Bethlehem Press in 2006, she has won Keystone Press Awards for sports story writing and sports beat reporting.
Katie has interviewed hundreds of student athletes and coaches, but if she could choose anyone to interview her, she would choose Bob Costas because of his ability to get to the heart of the matter, something she strives to do in as many stories as she can.
