Recently, Wildlands Conservancy Education Department hosted a Covered Bridge Trail Hike at Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, meeting at the Packhouse Road parking lot.

The 1.2-mile loop hike was guided by Christine and Bill Murray, and was free, funded by Lehigh County.

The guides highlighted various trees and plants along the route.

Participants were also encouraged to take an additional 0.6-mile walk to a Bird Blind in a converted Corn Crib, although no birds were observed during the hike.
