The Greater Northampton Area Chamber of Commerce, a partner of Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the borough of Northampton, announces the inaugural Meet Your Mayor and Managers event.
Designed to strengthen connections between local government and the community, this gathering will take place 4-6 p.m. April 29 at the Gin Mill and Grille, 1750 Main St., Northampton.
This special event offers residents and business professionals an opportunity to connect with the leadership team behind Northampton’s local government. Mayor Tony Pristash, borough Manager Brian Welsko and Assistant Manager Jerry Serensits will be in attendance to share updates on borough initiatives, plans and recent developments impacting the community.
A featured presentation, scheduled for 5:30 p.m., will highlight key priorities across departments, including infrastructure improvements, economic development projects and enhanced public services. The presentation aims to keep the community informed and engaged with the borough’s progress and direction.
“We’re proud to partner with the borough of Northampton to facilitate a meaningful dialogue between residents and local leadership,” said Jessica O’Donnell-Gower, executive vice president of GLVCC’s affiliated Chambers. “Events like this are essential to fostering transparency, strengthening community ties and showcasing the incredible work being done to move Northampton forward. We look forward to hearing from Mayor Pristash, Manager Welsko and Assistant Manager Serensits on all of the great initiatives in the works!”
Additionally, representatives from the borough’s fire and police departments will be on site with informational tables, providing resources and insights into public safety efforts. This is a valuable opportunity to engage with those who serve and protect Northampton every day and to learn more about the critical work happening behind the scenes.
“Have you ever wondered ‘Why’ or ‘What’ or ‘How’ things happen and get done in our town? Well, here is your chance to get up close and personal with the team that runs our wonderful borough of Northampton,” said Dave Kerper, chair of the Northampton Chamber.
This event is free to attend and open to all interested community members. While there is no cost for admission, voluntary donations will be accepted at the door to support ongoing Northampton community initiatives.
Event sponsors are PennSTAR, Horwith Trucks, AM Service Center and All Things Framed.
