Catasauqua: Thrift shop reopens April 24
Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., will reopen with all new clothing April 24, after the change over to spring and summer clothing.
Regular store hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.
We are happy to accept donations of good, used, clean clothing, household items and toys during store hours. Proceeds from the shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St., will be holding a flea market and basket raffle 9 a.m.-1 p.m. April 26. All flea market sales are by donation.
In addition to the basket raffle, there will be a lot of good food, delicious baked goods and the famous pickled beets, all accessible on the main floor. There will also be loads of flea market treasures and a huge book sale in the basement.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be holding bingo 1 p.m. April 27. Doors open noon.
Bingo will continue with tricky tray, 50/25/25 raffle, piggy number, lightening game and more. There will be refreshments available for purchase.
Bring a donation of a nonperishable food item, pet food or paper product (facial tissues, paper towels or toilet paper) for Whitehall Food Pantry and receive a strip of specials to be played on the first four specials. Reserving seating is not necessary; however, if you want to reserve seats, call or text 610-533-1357.

Mosaic Youth Chorus will be presenting a spring concert, titled “Life is Written in Water,” 7 p.m. May 4 at Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St. The 21-voice award-winning youth choir will perform music from around the world focused on the environment and the critical role of water.
The program features Gary Fry’s “Where Life is Written in Water,” a 10-minute piece with chamber orchestra that musically describes the water cycle. Other selections describe the impacts of climate change, especially when there is too little or too much water.
Music ranges from Randall Thompson to Joni Mitchell, exploring a wide variety of musical genres.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union St., will hold its cold cash bingo May 4 in the parish center. The doors and kitchen will open 11:30 a.m., with bingo beginning 1 p.m.
The cost includes 15 games, six specials and one jackpot round. Bring your daubers, but no hardboards.
To keep the cost down, no outside food or drinks are permitted. The kitchen will be selling your favorites.
