Tour guides/docents are needed to greet and provide visitors to Museum of Indian Culture in Allentown with an educational experience about Native American lifeways and history as it pertains to the exhibits 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Roosevelt Elementary is excited to host a Reality Fair for 5th grade students, where they’ll get fun, hands-on experience learning about real-life responsibilities like budgeting, decision-making, and managing expenses, and is looking for 19 volunteers to help run the 19 interactive stations 9 a.m. to noon on May 22. Experience the joy of Special Olympics as a head coach or assistant coach. Head coaches lead and organize their team of athletes and volunteers to create a comprehensive sport training program while assistant coaches help organize practice and assist athletes in acquiring various sports skills. Enjoy the beautiful weather on Saturday, May 10 and support The Salvation Army Foster Care & Adoption Services for the 14th annual Rock N’ Run at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown to raise awareness and support children in foster care. The event includes a 5K, 5 Mile and Kids Fun Run and is run exclusively by volunteers and agency staff. Volunteers are needed from 8:30 a.m. to noon for many stations.
