The Northampton track team had a tough test against Easton last week. The girls fell 84-66, but the boys were winners, 88.5-61.5.

The boys were led by Jeremiah Strowder who was a triple-winner on the day, taking the 400 in 51.5, the long jump with a 18-11 and the triple jump with a 41-9.5.

Ezekiel Spencer won the 100 with a 10.9. Alex Schrampf took the 200 in 23.4. Edwin Wright won the 3200 with a time of 11:11.8.

Dominic Barkanic took the 110 hurdles in 16.8 and Angelo Amato won the 300 hurdles 43.5.

Andrew Szeplaki won the high jump, clearing 5-9 and Alex Szeplaki the pole vault, clearing 9-3.

Brandon Downey captured the javelin with a throw of 127-1.

Anne Beenders had a big day to help lead the way for the girls, winning four events. Benders was first in the 100 in 12.8. She was also first in the high jump with a distance of 5-1, the triple jump with a 34-4 and the long jump with a 15-5.

Other winners for the girls were: Amanda Kopchak, Olivia Hayes, Lucy Colyer and Alexa Wiland. Kopchak had a 18.0 in the 100 hurdles and Hayes won the pole vault clearing 8-6. Colyer had a throw of 32-1.75 in the shot put while Wiland’s toss of 107-4 won the javelin.
