Sign up this month for pool passes, Camp Whitehall

Summer fever is rising among the residents of Whitehall as pool passes for summer 2025 will be available later this month.

According to Brandon Hibbler, the township’s bureau chief of recreation, pool passes will go on sale April 28 and will be sold until June 22. After that date, residents will not be able to purchase them.

Sign up for passes at the township building, 3219 MacArthur Road, until June 8.

The April schedule to purchase pool passes at the township building is set for 9-11 a.m. April 28 and 4-7 p.m. April 29 and 30.

The May schedule is set for 9 a.m.-noon and 4-7 p.m. May 1, 8, 22 and 29, 9-11 a.m. May 5, 19 and 26 and 4-7 p.m. May 6, 7, 20, 21, 27 and 28.

No pool passes will be sold May 12-16. Sales will resume May 19.

The June dates are 9-11 a.m. June 2, 4-7 p.m. June 3 and 4 and 9 a.m.-noon and 4-7 p.m. June 5.

Starting June 8, residents can purchase pool passes at the Parkview Pool, 3051 S. Fifth St., Hokendauqua, until June 22.

After June 22, pool passes will not be available for purchase.

Daily hours of operation for the pool are noon-7 p.m. There is an early-bird hour for pool pass holders only, set for 11 a.m.-noon.

According to the township website, a family pass for residents is $155 for two adults and two children. The cost is $25 for an additional child, $70 for an adults and $60 for students.

Camp Whitehall rates were set by the board of commissioners in February. The board approved, by a 6-0 vote, rates for the pool passes and camp.

Camp Whitehall will start June 16. The cost for township residents is $155 a week and $1,085 for the entire season.

For Coplay residents, the cost will be $160 a week and $1,120 for the entire season.

Rates are $200 a week for other nonresidents.

Camp Whitehall will run for seven weeks — June 16-Aug. 1 — at the Hokendauqua Playground, 3417 Lehigh St. Camp will not be held July 4.

Campers in grades K-6 will enjoy a variety of activities 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Daily trips to Parkview Pool will take place, weather permitting.

There is no busing available. Lunch and drinks should be brought daily by campers.

Sign-ups for Camp Whitehall are during the same times as the pool pass sign-ups. Pay for camp with cash or checks only — no credit cards.

The 2025 summer concert series has also been announced. The free concerts run 6-9 p.m. at Whitehall Parkway, 4689 S. Church St.

The lineup includes Girl Crue June 21, the Aardvarks July 12, Tool Shed Jack July 19, Main Street Cruisers July 26, Steel Creek Aug. 9 and Flirtin’ with the Mob Aug. 16.

There will also be food trucks and offerings from Soaked Winery and Hawk Mountain Brewery.
