Shirley E. Ruppert, 91, of Lenhartsville, died peacefully at home on April 3, 2025.

She was the widow of William S. Ruppert, who died in 2019.

Born in Lynn Township, she was the daughter of the late Norman H. and Agnes E. (Peiffer) Hausman.

Her most cherished role was raising her seven daughters, though she also worked outside the home occasionally.

She met Mr. Rogers when she was hired to clean for him in his Allentown home.

She also spent time drilling cast-iron gas burners for Paul Nester in Kempton.

She was a member of Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli.

She enjoyed crocheting and caring for her flowers and vegetable garden.

Her survivors include daughters, Lucille A. Miller at home, Loretta (Bruce) Peters of New Tripoli, Carolyn (Gary) Krick of Lenhartsville, Brenda (Michael) Lentz of Germansville, Doris (John) Turko of Kempton, Rita (Rich) Reinhart of New Tripoli, and Teresa (Steven) Riegel of New London, N.C.; 25 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Turko.
