Sheckler Elementary School’s coin war has returned and will last until April 30. Each classroom will have a milk jug to fill with coins, and the class in each grade level that has the most points will get an extra recess.

Money raised will benefit Sheckler Home and School Association.

Volunteers are needed for field day May 12 and 13. All volunteers will be asked to work stations, and current clearances are required.

Scouting America is looking for new recruits of boys and girls interested in hiking, biking, fishing and camping. This is a year-round activity.

Catasauqua Area School District will be closed for spring break April 17-21.

Konkrete Creamery, 2430 Cherryville Road, Northampton, will be donating 10% of the day’s sales to Sheckler April 26. Doors will be open noon-9 p.m.

Sheckler will be administering the PSSA to third and fourth grades throughout April. English Language Arts PSSA testing is set for April 23-25. Math PSSA testing is scheduled for April 28-29. The science PSSA testing is set for April 30-May 1.
