Every marking period, teachers at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute recognize students for outstanding effort, improvement, achievement and leadership in their career and technical education programs and academic classes. Honorees are presented with certificates and gifts.

Congratulations to Catasauqua High School and LCTI students Olivia Chunko (auto collision repair technology), Ulianoy Estrella (SOC indoor/outdoor maintenance) and Aidan Geiger (building trades maintenance) for earning Students of the Quarter for the third marking period.

Catasauqua Area School District will be closed for spring break April 17-21. Schools will reopen and classes will resume April 22. LCTI will also run on this same schedule.

PSSA testing will begin April 23.

On May 7, there will be an early dismissal. CHS students will be dismissed 12:50 p.m.

CASD will be closed May 26 for Memorial Day.

LCTI’s senior recognition night is celebrating the Class of 2025. Seniors and their families are invited to attend the ceremony, which begins 6:30 p.m. May 29 at PPL Center, 701 Hamilton St., Allentown. All of our seniors will be presented with certificates on stage during the celebration.

CASD has bus and van driver job opportunities available. The current starting pay is $22.54 per hour.

Training opportunities are available for individuals interested in obtaining their commercial driver’s license to operate buses. It is possible for a regular run immediately. Interested applicants must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
