To Our Readers:
After many years of dedicated service, Deb Palmieri has announced her retirement as editor of the Parkland Press and the Northwestern Press. We extend our congratulations and appreciation to Deb as she steps away from her editorial role.
For over 28 years, Deb has played a central role in guiding both newspapers through the evolving world of local journalism. Her commitment to accuracy, her editorial judgment and her steady leadership have helped shape the identity and credibility of these publications.
Throughout her career, Deb has consistently worked to ensure that our coverage served the needs of the community. Whether reporting on major local developments or routine township meetings, she brought a thoughtful and conscientious approach to the newsroom.
Deb’s contributions go beyond her own work. She has mentored staff, supported colleagues and helped maintain a high standard for reporting across both papers. Her presence and leadership have left a lasting impression on those who’ve worked with her.
As she enters retirement, we thank Deb for the time, effort and care she has given to these newspapers and the readers they serve. Her work has made a meaningful impact, and we wish her all the best in the years ahead.
Sincerely,
Scott Masenheimer, Publisher
