Northampton: Northampton Borough plans annual Easter event at park
Northampton Borough’s annual Easter egg hunt is scheduled for 11 a.m. April 12 at Municipal Park, Smith Lane and Laubach Avenue.

Northampton Fire Company is having breakfast with the Easter Bunny 8-11 a.m. April 13 at 4 Lerchenmiller Drive. The menu includes eggs, ham and cheese, sausage, pork roll, sausage gravy and biscuits and corned beef hash. Tator tots, toast, pancakes and blueberry pancakes, along with assorted hot and cold beverages, will also be available at various costs for various age groups.

Northampton Area School District community education is offering more classes.
Yoga sculpt, with Beth Sweetana, will be held 7-8 p.m. April 15 and 22 in the cafeteria at Siegfried Elementary School. The class will focus on strength, core and cardio. Bring a mat and water. All levels are welcome.
Additional classes are coming soon.
Water aerobics with Susan Roberts will be held 7:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays April 22-May 29 in the Northampton Area Middle School natatorium. Experience a low-impact workout that is kind to your joints. The instructor will explain all the exercises and utilize noodles, water dumbbells and water belts to get a total body workout. Locker rooms are available, if needed.
Beginner crocheting with Stephanie Mohler will be 6:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, April 23 and 30 and May 7, 14, 21 and 28 at the George Wolf Elementary School library. You will work toward a project of your choice with one-to-one help from the experienced instructor. All materials will be provided. No drop-ins are permitted.
Participants do not need to be NASD residents to join but must be at least 15 years old. Register at nasdschools.org, under the community tab.

Northampton Fire Department 42 is hosting its third annual fire cadet camp July 7-11. The camp, which is open to borough residents only until further notice, will run 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day with a graduation ceremony July 12.
The camp is free this year due to generous donations.
The camp, held at 4 Lerchenmiller Drive, teaches young adults ages 11-15 what a firefighter does. There will be scheduled events each day that will include hands-on training, team building, mentorship and more.
For an application or more information, email Barry Frantz, safety officer and camp director, at NFD42Camp@northamptonfire42.com. Applications can also be picked up at borough hall during regular hours or at the fire station. The maximum capacity is 20 students.
