Leon M. Galitsky Sr., 85, died April 2, 2025, at Fellowship Manor in Whitehall. He was the husband of Jeanette (Stumpf) Galitsky for 55 years.

Born in Shenandoah, he was the son of the late Leo and Julia (Wojtowicz) Galitsky.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Penn State University.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was employed at Bethlehem Steel and retired in 1988.

He was a longtime member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Leon M. Jr.; and a daughter, Christina.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
