Godbarge announces candidacy for Upper Macungie supervisor

Julien Godbarge, who says he is an experienced business leader, dedicated community advocate, and father of five, has announced his candidacy for Upper Macungie supervisor.

With a background in executive leadership and a strong record of service on nonprofit and homeowners’ association boards, Godbarge says he is committed to fostering smart growth, community engagement and fiscal responsibility in Upper Macungie.

“Upper Macungie is growing rapidly, and we need forward-thinking leadership to ensure that growth strengthens our community rather than overwhelms it,” Godbarge said. “As a business leader, I know how to manage budgets, plan for the future, and bring people together to solve problems.

“I’m running for supervisor to ensure our township remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Record of Leadership, Service

Godbarge says he brings extensive executive experience to his campaign.

He served as CEO of Holiday Outdoor Décor, a national company headquartered in Bethlehem, specialized in large-scale commercial holiday decorations.

Before that, he had senior leadership roles in sales, marketing and business development.

Since moving to Upper Macungie in 2019, Godbarge has become deeply involved in the community, serving on the board of his homeowners’ association and lending his expertise to several nonprofit boards, including Planned Parenthood and housing organizations.

Vision for Upper Macungie

As a father of three and stepfather of two, Godbarge says he understands the importance of strong local leadership in shaping a thriving community.

His platform focuses on:

·Smart Growth and Infrastructure: Ensuring new development is strategic, sustainable, and supported by the necessary infrastructure to avoid overcrowding and traffic congestion.

·Fiscal Responsibility: Leveraging his business expertise to prioritize spending efficiently while maintaining low taxes and strong public services.

·Public Safety and Community Services: Supporting law enforcement, fire services, and emergency response while ensuring township resources meet residents’ needs.

·Community Engagement and Transparency: Creating more opportunities for residents to have a voice in decision-making through better communication and public involvement.

“I believe in responsible governance that listens to the people,” Godbarge said. “Upper Macungie needs leaders who are willing to roll up their sleeves, engage with residents, and make decisions that benefit both today’s families and future generations.”

Godbarge has built a career in business leadership, strategic planning, and community service.

As a former CEO and business executive, Godbarge says he brings a results-driven mindset to governance.

He has been actively involved in nonprofit leadership and local community initiatives, advocating for affordable housing, healthcare access, and responsible urban planning.

He lives in Upper Macungie with his wife and their boxer, Lola.
