Charles J. Lipp Local IBEW electrician

Charles J. Lipp, 97, of Bethlehem, died March 31, 2025, at Holy Family Manor. He was the husband of the late Frances M. (Mulacheski) Lipp. Born in Mahanoy City, he was a son of the late John and Barbara (Smith) Lipp.

He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was an electrician for Local IBEW 367.

He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Hope Church, Bethlehem Township.

Hes was a member of the Edward H. Ackerman Post 397, Hellertown, and of the North End Republican Association, Bethlehem.

He is survived by three daughters, Barbara Peeling and her husband Jeffrey of Wrightsville, Charlene Brown and her husband Robert of Bethlehem Township and Debra Boardman of Lansdale; a son-in-law, Bruce Chickey of Bethlehem; six grandchildren, Michele Boardman, Robert Brown, Nicole (Chickey) Vidoni, Gregory Brown, Michael Brown and Daniel Boardman; and three great-grandchildren, Robert “Robbie” Brown, Rory Anne Brown and Aubrey (Vidoni) Smith.

He was predeceased by his youngest daughter, Nancy Chickey; and four siblings, Father John Lipp, Georgene Dusky, Mary Ervin and Theresa Lipp.
