Discover life after graduation in a quirky run-down neighborhood with “Avenue Q: School Edition,” 7 p.m. April 10, 11; 2 p.m. April 12, John F. McHugh Auditorium, William Allen High School, 106 N. 17th St., Allentown.
Actors and puppets tell the story of a recent college grad, Princeton, moving into a shabby New York apartment on Avenue Q.
Director-Producer John T. Sechler is assisted by Choreographer-Assistant Director Dawn Blanco, Music Director Brandon Remp, Technical Director Marc Hissam, Costume Designer Karen Comegys and Conductor Eric Moser.
With music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, and book by Jeff Whitty, the musical is a parody of TV’s “Sesame Street.”
The 2003 original Broadway production won three Tony Awards of six Tony nominations in 2024.
Production numbers include “What Do You Do with a B.A. in English?,” “Purpose,” “The Money Song” and “There’s a Fine, Fine Line.”
