Brian D. Fusselman
Brian D. Fusselman, 66, of Kempton, died March 25, 2025, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He was the widower of Diane S. (Weller) Fusselman, who died in 2018.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late James George Jr. and Barbara L. (Althouse) Fusselman.
A 1977 graduate of Kutztown High School, he later served as a 1977 reunion committee member.
He furthered his education by attending the Lincoln Technical Institute, earning an Associate degree in diesel mechanics.
He was a diesel mechanic and later a maintenance supervisor for F.A. Rohrbach Concrete Construction, Allentown, for nearly 30 years until 2018.
He last worked for Kermit K. Kistler Inc., New Tripoli.
An active member of Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli, he served as sound man for Sunday worship services.
He loved cooking for various church dinners, often preparing his favorite family recipe for potato filling.
He also assisted with VBS and Easter events and served as a committee member for the church’s 250th anniversary celebration.
A very talented artist, he created beautiful drawings of Jacob’s Church that have been used in the church bulletin and the 250th anniversary book, among other publications.
His impressive illustrations of the church buildings are currently showcased in the church activity center.
He also contributed to the community through various volunteer roles, including volunteering at various events with the Lynnport Fire Company, volunteering for 4-H in Carbon and Lehigh counties, and serving on the PDC for Lehigh County 4-H.
He was a former board member and volunteer for both the Kempton Community Fair and the Mountain Springs Country Fair, volunteered at the Kutztown Folk Festival, and judged baked goods for the Pennsylvania Beekeepers at the PA Farm Show.
His service to others continued even after he entered eternal rest, as he became an organ donor.
He enjoyed hunting, camping, drawing, watching movies, decorating the front yard for the holidays with inflatables and flags, playing solitaire, collecting pins, collecting skunk items, and most of all being with his beloved family.
His survivors include his daughters Kayla L. (Nick) Fusselman at home, Briana M. (Seth) Winters of Pottstown; sons Riley J. (Katie) Fusselman of Womelsdorf and Eric Fusselman of Pottstown; loving grandchildren Stephenie A., Brayden M., Rory E., and Jasper A. Winters, and Lincoln J. Fusselman; uncle, Henry Fusselman of Walnutport; nephew, Jason (Melissa) Fusselman, of New Tripoli; niece Ashley (Steve) Reimert of Slatington; and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother, Ralph J. Fusselman.
His memorial service will be 11 a.m. April 3 at Jacob’s Church, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli.
Calling hour begins at 10 a.m.
Pastor Tad Schlegel, the Rev. Stanley C. Newton and the Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the church memorial fund, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, PA.
