Becahi wins, loses

Bethlehem Catholic’s boys tennis team shut out East Stroudsburg South, 6-0, on March 25 at Bethlehem Catholic.

At No. 1 singles Liam Maloney defeated Alex Kolakowski, 6-1, 6-3.

Kendryk Silva was the No. 2 singles winner over Ethan Fluck, 6-2, 7-5, and Tyler Lennert won at No. 3 singles against Artem Petrovsky, 6-3, 6-2.

In doubles play, Derrick Hartman and Ralston Rowlands won at No. 2 over Hank Schlomcuss and Brian Pauloski, 6-1, 6-1.

Borja Campos and Alvaro Martinez defeated Aiden Kimle and Eric Relto at No. 3, 6-1, 7-6(3), and

Nico Massu and Joey Maigur were winners at No. 4 over Joseph Michelin and Elliott Ace, 7-6(5), 6-4.

Bethlehem Catholic visited Freedom on March 26 when three doubles teams went to three sets in a 6-0 victory for the Patriots and a heartbreaker for the Golden Hawks.

Jonah Rodburg and Manny Suarez won at No. 2 doubles against Derrick Hartman and Ralston Rowlands, 6-7(3), 6-4, 10-4, and Aidan Hugo and Henri Houle defeated Borja Campos and Nico Massu at No. 3 doubles, 6-2, 0-6, 6-2.

Aidan Cabrera and Luke Eureyecko topped Joey Maigur and Kolby Mease at No. 4 doubles, 0-6, 6-3, 6-2.

In singles play, Noah Rodburg defeated Liam Maloney at No. 1, 3-0, forfeit, Eric Wu defeated Kendryk Silva at No. 2, 6-3, 6-1, and Oscar Avila won against Tyler Lennert at No. 3, 6-1, 6-1.
