Robert Knopf Sr.

of Alburtis

Robert “Bob” Knopf Sr., 84, of Alburtis, died peacefully March 27, 2025. He was married to the love of his life, Joan (DeLong) Knopf, who died Nov. 20, 2024. Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Frank Sr. and Rose (Csencits) Knopf.

He was a graduate of Northampton High School, Class of 1959.

He was a Lehigh Valley Softball Hall of Fame Inductee, member and served on the Hall of Fame selection committee. He was also a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. umpire for fast pitch softball.

He was a supervisor for the former Cross Country Clothes in Northampton for more than 30 years, until retiring.

He is survived by sons, Robert Jr. and his wife, Jan, Jeffrey, Christopher, Terry and his wife, Linsay, Greg; daughters, Jodi Delabar and her husband, Ray and Melissa; sisters, his twin, Patricia Fahringer and Tina Vitovitch and her husband, David; brothers, Frank Jr. and his wife, Kathy, Ronnie and his wife, Patricia, Randy; grandchildren, Brendon, Morgen, Robyn, Mason, Kaleb, Gunner, Terry Jr., Jared, Ryan, Christopher, Casey, Alex and Alan; great-grandfather to seven. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin; grandson, Tyler Klass; brother, Thomas.

Services will be held 10 a.m. April 7 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 9-10 a.m. April 7 in the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lehigh Valley Softball Hall of Fame, 1027 St. John St., Allentown, 18103.
