David I. Shoemaker, 70, of Macungie, died March 22, 2025, at home. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Irwin C. and June J. (Rhodes) Shoemaker. Before retiring in 2009, he worked many years at Kraft Foods, lastly as an inspector and lab technician.

He will be remembered as an antique car enthusiast.

He was on the Macungie Town Beautification Committee, as well as volunteering at Macungie Park.

He attended stock car races at Grandview Speedway and was a former member of the Alburtis Fire Company.

He is survived by a brother, Kevin L., of Macungie; sister, Janet L. Bortz, of Allentown; nieces and nephews.
