Calling all Penn Staters

The Salisbury High School Class of 2028 is holding an awesome fundraiser. All you Penn Staters out there get excited for some Ye Olde College Diner grilled stickies! The sale runs April 1-22 with delivery the week of May 19. They have three options to choose from: plain, apple and nut. April 3 is the end of the third quarter at SHS. We are in the home stretch!

It feels like we just had the winter concerts and it’s already time for the spring version. Salisbury Middle School will hold its spring concert 7 p.m. April 10. This will include band and chorus performances.

The Salisbury Twirlers will host a Twirling, Percussion, Dance and Color Guard competition April 12 at SHS. Doors open 11 a.m. with a small admission fee. There will be a total of 40 performances. The middle school squad will perform tentatively around 3:45 p.m. and the high school/open squad will perform tentatively 7 p.m. Arrive at least 45 minutes before performances to ensure seating.

The annual Salisbury Township Recreation Advisory Committee Easter egg hunt will be 10 a.m. April 5 at Franko Park. This event is for children ages 3-10. A registration form is required to participate and must be returned to the township building by April 2. The form can be found on the township website. The rain date will be April 12.

Salisbury Township schools will be closed April 17-21 for spring break.

Did you know the Allentown Public Library has computer classes every Tuesday? They range from computer basics to genealogy with everything in between. For a complete listing of the classes and the dates they run, visit allentownpl.org.

Yard waste drop offs will be open next week. The Franko site will be open April 7, 10 and 12. Devonshire will be open April 14, 17 and 19. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
