Betty M. Humanick, 95, of Slatington, died March 21, 2025, at Liza’s House Personal Care Home in Danielsville. She was the wife of the late Edgar J. Humanick.

Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Esther (Atherholt) Spangler.

She was a sewing machine operator for 31 years for the former Cross Country Clothes, Northampton, until retiring in 1992. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Betty and Eddies Bar, from 1969 to 1982 in Treichlers.

She was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Slatedale.

She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Van Norman with Gary and Carol A. Oswald, all of Slatington; a daughter-in-law, Linda of Slatington; a brother, LeRoy Spangler with Lola of Bethlehem; six grandchildren, Chad with Tracy, Brandon with Jodee, Ronnie with Cortney, Darin with Vanessa, Ryan Van Norman with Maria and Aaron Oswald with Christie; a grandson-in-law, Denis Trelease; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Helen of Whitehall and Dorothy Turk with Paul of Bethlehem; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Rodney J.; a son-in-law, Barry Oswald; a granddaughter, Mandi Trelease; six sisters; and three brothers.
