A former Allentown police vice officer, of Upper Milford Township, faces additional charges, according to a news release from the office of the Lehigh County District Attorney dated March 27.
Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan and Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca announced additional charges against Jason Michael Krasley, 48, of Upper Milford Township in the news release.
Krasley is now charged in two separate cases with three counts each of alleged rape, felonies of the first degree; criminal solicitation to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, a felony of the first degree; sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault, felonies of the second degree and misdemeanor charges of official oppression, patronizing prostitutes and indecent assault, according to court documents available online March 30 along with the news release.
Krasley surrendered March 27 and was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Michael D’Amore and Magisterial District Judge Rashid Santiago, according to authorities.
The investigation continues.
The Allentown Police Department is cooperating with the investigation, according to the news release.
The names of the latest victims will not be released, according to authorities. They were identified as Victim 1 and Victim 2 in the news release.
In both cases, Krasley was working as a vice officer at the time of the alleged offenses.
Victim 1 told investigators in 2011, she was posting ads online for “prostitution purposes,” according to the news release.
Victim 1 said in 2011 she had her first interaction with Krasley when he allegedly stopped her as she was walking. He allegedly used the name she posted on the online ads.
Victim 1 said in 2012, she was walking in Allentown when Krasley allegedly approached her on the street using the name she posted in her online ads as well as her real last name.
Victim 1 said she had an active bench warrant at the time and Krasley allegedly asked her if the warrant was resolved. She said the bench warrant was still active and asked Krasley if she was under arrest.
Krasley allegedly responded she did not have to be under arrest.
“Victim 1 said Krasley then forced her to walk into a small, secluded alleyway near Seventh Street in Allentown where he raped her. After he raped her, she was allowed to leave and was not arrested for the outstanding bench warrant,” according to the news release.
Victim 1 said Krasley allegedly raped and sexually assaulted her inside a parked vehicle near Chew Street, Allentown in 2013.
Victim 2 told investigators in 2018, Krasley allegedly responded to an online advertisement offering prostitution services and they met at a hotel.
“Victim 2 said Krasley sexually assaulted her while she fought to resist him. After she was able to get away from him and stop the sexual assault, Victim 2 was detained by other law enforcement officers,” according to the news release.
She told the other officers about the sexual assault but no action was taken by them, according to the news release.
The news release continues as follows:
“Victim 2 was not arrested for any offense, but instead was offered transportation to a drug rehabilitation facility.
“Victim 2 said while being driven to the drug rehabilitation facility, she told an investigator with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security about the rape and sexual assault but nothing was ever done.”
Investigators confirmed that Victim 2 was admitted to the drug rehabilitation facility which had an existing relationship with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at the time.
In late 2024, Krasley was charged by the Lehigh County District Attorney with alleged theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property — over $2,000 and tampering with or fabricating evidence after he allegedly removed $5,500 cash from evidence seized in a drug case when he worked as a vice officer with the Allentown Police Department in 2019.
In January, charges were filed against Krasley and then Allentown police officer Evan Weaver, of Weisenberg, alleging rape, involuntary sexual servitude, both felonies of the first degree as well as misdemeanor charges of alleged indecent assault, official oppression and prostitution and other related offenses, according to news reports.
Krasley is free on $100,000 unsecured bail for each of the two new cases, according to authorities.
Krasley is scheduled for preliminary hearings April 4 and April 29.
