Track splits vs. PMW

Whitehall’s track and field team split its season opener with Pocono Mountain West with an 88-62 win for the Zephyr boys and a 74-72 win for the Panther girls.

Top performers in individual events for Whitehall’s boys were Joseph Nanoah in 110 meter hurdles (18.02) and 300 meter hurdles (45.79), Justin Hussett in 100 meter dash (11.65), Talon Dogmanits in 400 meter dash (54.55), Reese Prebosnyak in 200 meter dash (23.67), Thomas Lloyd in javelin throw (200-10), Willmont Kai in pole vault (10-00.00), and Tyler Tehonica and Carter Troxell in shot put (36-03.00).

The Zephyr boys completed a one-two-three finish in 110 hurdles with Deakon Smith and Layony Sanchez placing second and third, respectively, in 100 meter dash with Prebosynak and Reed Felker placing second and third, respectively, and in pole vault with Matthew Nomie and Rocco DeLucia placing second and third, respectively.

Top performers in individual events for Whitehall’s girls were Keona Spooner in 100 hurdles (18.87), Roseline Zulu in 400 meter dash (1:07.61), Llyneida Otanez in 300 hurdles (52.40), Edrien Lee in 200 meter dash (27.70), and Emily Kern in javelin throw (75-07).

The Zephyr girls completed a one-two-three finish in the 200 meter dash with Desiree London and Jaylene Wilson placing second and third, respectively.

Whitehall’s boys won the 4x800 relay (11:57.47) and the 4x100 relay (44.13).

Whitehall’s girls won the 4x800 relay (12:34.75) and the 4X400 relay (4:27.89).
