NORTH WHITEHALL: Basket raffle at Union UCC

The Fellowship Committee of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, is hosting a basket raffle fundraiser 9 a.m.-3 p.m. March 29, and from noon-2 p.m. March 30.

The event offers many opportunities to win baskets from a variety of themes, such as bath and body, chocolate, crafts for kids, gardening, holidays, movies, pets, baking, coffee or tea, sports and more.

There will be a 50/50 drawing and bake sale with profits directed to the mission and ministry of Union UCC.

This is the 25th anniversary of the basket social.

Union Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873 Schnecksville, invites the community to the Larry E. Snyder Memorial Craft Show 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 5.

Lunch and a bake sale will be available in the Family Life Center.

Some years ago, Larry Snyder started the craft show which was a festive event before the Christmas holidays.

He and his wife, Carol, also worked hard to bring quality vendors to the Upper Lehigh Lions Club annual craft show each July.

Lenten worship continues at Union Lutheran with a hymn sing on April 2 and the Holden Evening Prayer Service on April 9.

All are welcome to the soup supper at 5:45 p.m. and the service at 7 p.m. each time.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, is celebrating everyone’s birthday with a party 11:30 a.m. April 6.

Tables will be decorated for the months of the year.

As with any birthday gathering, this will be a time to enjoy good food and fellowship, and make new friends.

St. John’s UCC is collecting clothing and household goods for people in need.

Place all items in a well-tied plastic or garbage bags and deliver to the church by April 27.

They will accept clothing, shoes, accessories, fabric, household items such as towels and blankets, breakable dinnerware in a box marked fragile, pots and pans, and toys.

Volunteers at the Schnecksville Fire Company will be serving a buffet style all-you-can-eat breakfast 8 a.m. to noon March 30.

Menu includes ham, sausage, creamed chipped beef, home fries, pancakes, toast, beverages, and eggs any style.

The Upper Lehigh Lions Club is having a hoagie sale fundraiser.

Call 610-799-3431 by April 2 to order. Pick up hoagies 2:30-4 p.m. April 15 at the Schnecksville Fire Company.

Volunteers at Northern Valley EMS, NOVA, will be baking Paska bread, with or without raisins to either 1 pound or 2 pound loaves.
