Dryland moved a bit closer to 1st place St. Paul’s by sandwiching 6-4 and 4-0 wins around a 1-0 loss to Star of Bethlehem. Leading hitters for Dryland included Shawn Sigley and Dave Crothamel each going 4-11, with Butch Silfies, Bernie Yurko, and Nate Phares all going 4-12 apiece. Ron Frankenfield was 5-11 and Tyler Frankenfield 5-12 for Star of Bethlehem.

First place St. Paul’s lost to Christ UCC 3-1 and 8-4 winning the opener 8-5. Top hitters for Christ UCC were Garry Hunsicker 10-14, Eric Yocum 6-14, George Gasper 5-12, and Jon Eisenrich with a HR. Jennifer Erkinger was 6-13, Jason Gross and Kevin Gross went 5-12 each, and HRs from Larry Kneller and Brian Gross for St. Paul’s.

After losing the opener 14-0 to Ebenezer, Farmersville came back to win 4-0 and 6-5. Leading hitters included Dennis Koehler 5-11 and Gene Grim 5-12 (HR) for Farmersville while Jim Voortman was 6-13, Paul Yoder 5-12 and Bill Christine with a HR for Ebenezer

Emmanuel beat Blessed Trinity 10-4 and 1-0, losing the opener 2-0. Hitters included Jon Rice 5-12, Chuck Achenzie also 5-12, Troy Haydt 3-8 (HR), and Al Nesbitt with a HR for Emmanuel. Dan Halteman was 4-11 (HR), Kevin Remaly 3-7, Chick Crisafi 3-9, and Tim Heidelmark with a HR for Blessed Trinity.

Second place Dryland moved a bit closer to first place St. Paul’s winning 6-2 and 11-2 losing the nightcap 11-8. Leading hitters for Dryland included Bernie Yurko 9-14, Dave Crothamel 7-13, Nate Phares 7-14, Larry Golick 7-15 (HR), Shawn Sigley 5-12, Butch Silfies 5-15, and Jeff Ashenflader 4-12. John Hoysan was 5-11, Jason Gross and Roger Kern each 5-13, and Paul Slimmon 4-11 for St. Paul’s.

Star of Bethlehem lost the nightcap 5-1 to Emmanuel after winning the first 2 games 4-1 and 3-0. Top hitters for Star of Bethlehem were Bill Hoke Sr. 5-10, Ron Frankenfield 5-11, and Walt Hoffert 5-12. For Emmanuel, Tom Dormida was 4-12 and Bob Bast 4-13 (HR).

Christ UCC beat Farmersville 5-3 and 3-2, losing the opener 4-3 in 19 innings. Leading the way for Christ UCC was A.J. Renn 6-17 (HR), Steve Hunsicker 5-17, Donnie Lauderslager 4-12, Ed Yost also 4-12, Eric Yocum 4-14, and George Gasper with 2 HRs. Gene Grim was 7-17, Dave Duebler 5-16 (HR), Jason Steigerwalt 5-15, Dave Campbell 4-16, and Kyle Campbell 4-17 for Farmersville.

The final match of the night finds Ebenezer winning 6-5 (on Joey Blevins sacrifice bunt in the 11th inning) and 7-1 before losing the nightcap 4-3 to Blessed Trinity. Leading hitters for Ebenezer were Paul Yoder 7-14, Carol and Jim (HR) Voortman going 5-14 apiece and Tim Prestosh with a HR. Todd Jones was 6-12, Eric Harper 4-12 (HR), and Tim Heidelmark with a HR for Blessed Trinity.
