Each year, a group of Catasauqua High School students returns to Sheckler Elementary School to participate in guest reader day as part of Read Across America Week. These guest readers, who once sat on the same carpeted floor listening to CHS readers, return in the reader’s chair to read to the elementary school students.

Thank you to all of the high school students who participated this year to help keep this special tradition alive!

The next Catasauqua Area School District Board of Education meeting is scheduled for 7-8:30 p.m. April 8. The meeting will be held in the district administrative offices at 201 N. 14th St.

Lehigh Career and Technical Institute has day-to-day substitute positions open in the following areas: instructors (career and technical and academic), nurse, instructional assistant, secretary and custodian. LCTI is also seeking a long-term substitute teacher in building trades maintenance.
