Register for the Egg My Yard fundraiser

Salisbury High School will hold a baseball clinic noon to 2 p.m. April 13 for students aged 4-10. The SHS baseball team, in partnership with Salisbury Youth Association will hold this free clinic to practice drills and skills. All players must register. The link can be found on the STSD Facebook page or syasports.sportngin.com/register/form/470391166. The clinic will be held at the SHS baseball field.

Eastern Salisbury Fire Department is holding its third annual Egg My Yard fundraiser. Let them help you surprise your kids on Easter morning with a fun egg hunt. This is open to 50 homes on the eastern side of Salisbury Township. For more information and to register visit the ESFD Facebook page. Registration closes April 14 or when all slots are filled.

The Salisbury Township summer playground program is in need of counselors for this summer. This program starts in the middle of June and runs through July. It is held 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday and 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday evenings. All applicants must be at least 16 years old and have their own transportation to the parks. Applications can be found online and can be submitted online or at the township building by April 14.

Salisbury Township spring branch collection will begin April 7. Branches, no thicker than 5 inches, must be bundled and no longer than 5 feet in length. Smaller twigs can be in open containers. Please note there is a limit of five bundles or open containers per property. Please have curbside by April 6 for collection.

SHS football is hosting a spaghetti dinner 5-7:30 p.m. at Salisbury Middle School. Register at https://salisbury-football-spaghetti-dinner.cheddarup.com; no tickets will be available at the door.

Do you enjoy playing bingo? Every Wednesday, starting April 2, bingo games will be played at Salisbury Township Fire Co., 1226 Marlow St., Allentown. Doors open 5 p.m. and bingo starts 6:45 p.m. For more information, call Heather at 835-227-9492 or Mike at 484-515-9419.

Kindergarten registration continues for the 2025-2026 school year. Enrollment is online at www.saliburysd.org/kindergarten. Eligible children must be 5 years old before Aug. 31. Kindergarten screenings will be held May 5-8 and summer screenings will be held July 31. A school tour and bus ride will be held in August as well as information sessions and meet the teacher night.

Salisbury Elementary School will recognize Autism Awareness Week beginning March 31.

SMS will host its book fair through March 28. Family night will be held 5-8 p.m. March 27.

Looking ahead, schools will be closed April 17 through April 21 for spring break.

Mark your calendars – SYA will hold a Community Day noon to 4 p.m. May 4 at SMS. More details to follow, but you know it’s always a fun time.

It’s officially spring and that means the township recycling drop off sites will soon be open. The Franko Farm site will open April 7, 10 and 12. Drop off center hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
