Northampton Area School District will be hosting its Soups and Scoops Empty Bowls event 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 27 in the cafeteria at NAMS, 1617 Laubach Ave., to raise funds to help feed the local hungry and raise awareness of food insecurity. Each ticket holder will be able to choose their own unique handmade bowl to keep at the end of the complimentary meal, which consists of all-you-can-eat soups and bread, as well as ice cream for dessert.

The food is donated by local businesses, community members and school staff.

Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., will be holding a crab cake and chicken finger dinner 4-6 p.m. March 28. Dinners include two crab cakes or three chicken fingers, a baked potato, coleslaw, roll and a brownie for dessert.

NASD community education is offering more classes.

Yoga sculpt, featuring Beth Sweetana, will be held 7-8 p.m. April 1, 8, 15 and 22 in the cafeteria at Siegfried Elementary School. The class will focus on strength, core and cardio.

Bring a mat and water. All levels are welcome, and drop-ins are accepted.

NASD is also offering a Just Stringing Around art night 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 10 in the cafeteria at Siegfried Elementary. Choose from five string boards, and enjoy a fun, crafty evening out.

Registration closes March 31. Drop-ins are not accepted.

The Stixercise and Aqua Zumba classes continue until April 2 and 7, respectively.

Participants do not need to be NASD residents to join but must be at least 15 years old. Register at nasdschools.org, under the “community” tab.

Assumption of Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church is having a kielbasa sale — 2.5-pound platter of assorted Kowalonek’s kielbasa samples. Orders and payment are due by March 31, and pickup is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. April 11 at the church, 1301 Newport Ave.
