Francis Michael Krajcir
Francis Michael Krajcir Sr., 95, died at the Phoebe Home March 9, 2025. He was the husband of the late Cecilia (York) Krajcir. Born in Hauto, he was the son of Stephen and Anna Krajcir.
He was a graduate of the former Nesquehoning High School, where he was an excellent athlete and played several sports including football and baseball.
He (or Reds which was his childhood nickname) was a proud Army Veteran having served from 1948-1952 in both California and Alaska. Once he completed his time in the Army, he and his wife settled into the Alton Park area of Allentown where they resided for more than 60 years.
He was a machinist by trade and he worked at Bell Labs/AT&T/Lucent Technologies for his entire career. He also worked for the Lamm Machine Shop in Emmaus.
He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown and was a Mass usher for many years.
He was an active blood donor with the Red Cross throughout his life.
He will be remembered for his love of family, sports and his strong faith.
He is survived by daughters, Mary Sullivan, Rose Lippy and Kathy Forthman (Michael); son, Francis M. Jr. (Nancy); grandchildren, Christopher, Callie, Brady Forthman, Drew Forthman; sibling, Michael.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by siblings, Stephen, Joseph, Bernard, Paul, Vincent, Eleanor Stemetzki, Elizabeth Duffy, Dolores Androshick and Margaret Marzen.
Arrangements were made by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
