Egypt/Cementon: Music bingo set for March 27 at VFW
Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road, will be holding a music bingo 7 p.m. March 27.

The Boondock Barons will rock the Laurel Fire Company, 5114 Third St., Cementon, 7-10 p.m. March 28. The event is open to the public. There is a cost.

The VFW will host concerts by the Mississippi Pig Farmers March 28, The Castaway Trio March 29, James Supra Band April 4 and Third Hand Band April 5. These concerts begin 7:30 p.m. Mike Sherer will entertain 7 p.m. April 3.
All concerts are free to members, but there is a cost for guests and nonmembers.

A free crock-pot luck dinner will be offered 4-7 p.m. April 4 at Egypt Community Church, 4129 S. Church St. The dinner will include a choice of four crock-pot dishes, bread and butter, a doughnut and a beverage.

Whitehall Historical Preservation Society is planning to hold a historic walking tour of Egypt 10 a.m. April 5. The 1.3-mile, 2.5-hour tour is free to WHPS members. There is a cost for nonmembers.

Parishioners of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main St., Egypt, may register children 12 and under by April 6 for the church’s annual Easter egg hunt. The fun begins 10 a.m. April 12.
Donations of wrapped Easter candy may be placed in the boxes in the vestibule.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt, has midweek Lenten services scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesdays through April 9.
A potluck dinner will be held 6 p.m. April 17, followed by a 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday service. At 7 p.m. April 18, a Tenebrae service will take place. On Easter, April 20, there are services set for 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.
In collaboration with Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative, the church will be holding a free community meal from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 15.

VFW members, register your children and grandchildren up to 10 years old for the children’s Easter egg hunt, set for 1 p.m. April 12. The deadline to register is April 4.

Country line dancing sessions are back at Egypt park. The classes are set for 6:15-8 p.m. April 16 and 30, May 14 and 28 and June 6 and 25.
There is a cost.

Egypt park members ages 10 and under are invited to participate in an Easter egg hunt starting 1 p.m. April 19. Registration begins noon.
Candy donations will be accepted 10 a.m.-noon April 12 and 5-7 p.m. April 14 at the park, 4548 Main St.
