Robert E. Stufflet

Parkland High School graduate

Robert E. Stufflet, 73, of New Ringgold, died peacefully at home on March 16, 2025.

The loving husband of Susan D. (Follweiler) Stufflet, the couple celebrated 21 years of marriage in April 2024.

Born in Colorado Springs, Colo., he was the son of the late Sterling E. Stufflet and Doris E. (Cheeks) Stufflet of Topton.

He graduated from Parkland High School and served his country in the U.S. Army before attending Penn State University and eventually graduating from Kutztown University with a Bachelor’s degree in history.

He taught history for one year at Parkland High School before deciding to enter the Pennsylvania State Police Academy.

He served as a State Police Trooper across the state for many years.

He then launched his own sporting goods business, Blue Mountain Sporting Goods, in Hamburg, during the 1990s.

He also worked at Glen-Gery Brick, Shoemakersville, until retiring in 2016.

He was a member of Jacob’s Church, New Tripoli.

In addition to his devoted wife and mother, he is survived by sons Douglas of Hamburg, and Matthew (Ashley) of Reading; stepdaughter Jennifer Dzedzy of Fogelsville; stepson Christopher (Kerry) Phillips of Aynor, S.C.; and six grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service announced at a later date.
