District XI championship titles achieved by Viking and Vikette basketball

Congratulations to both the boys and girls ACCHS basketball teams for becoming District XI Champions!

The boys defeated Northwestern Lehigh, securing their third straight district title. The girls also won a third straight district title, with victory over Palmerton. Unfortunately, both teams fell during the state playoffs, finishing off great seasons.

Great job to wrestler McCoy Miller who placed fourth at the Keystone State Championships Northeast Qualifier. He will compete in the state championships at the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State University.

ACCHS swim and dive team members traveled to Bucknell University for state championship competition. Congratulations to Nick Janis, Thomas Rafferty, Gavin Mahon, Liam Fitzpatrick, Thomas Scheidel, Evan Cardiges and Alyssa Stahlnecker for qualifying.

The ACCHS baseball team traveled to Charlotte, N.C., March 12 for spring training. The team had the opportunity to play baseball at Queens University during this trip.

As part of the trip, the team also participated in a service project. ACCHS baseball raised funds and donations for the NICU at Hemby Children’s Hospital in Charlotte. While the team was there, they stopped by the hospital to drop off the donations and support NICU babies and their families.

Sister Immaculata Marie Policare, a St. Joseph the Worker and 2009 ACCHS alumna, was recently featured on the Allentown Diocese’s “Ready, Willing, and Able” podcast.
