James Greene, 69, of Whitehall, died March 10, 2025. He was the husband of Denise (Anthony) Greene for 45 years.

He was a son of the late James (Lucille) Greene and Evelyn (John) Schwartz

He was the founder of R&J Carpet Connection, a local flooring business.

He was known for his coaching.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, James with Alyssa, Jason with Niki and Matthew with Cara; eight grandchildren, Savannah, Kenzie, Ryan, Declan, Keira, Taylor, Cash and Brynn; and a sister, Beverly Kotsch.

He was predeceased by a sister, Debra Frisch.

There is a calling time 9-10:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m., March 20 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 3024 S. Church St., Whitehall. Due to the observance of Lent, flowers are not permitted in the church.
