At the Feb. 25 Allen Township Board of Supervisors meeting, Dale N. Hassler announced that he would not seek re-election for an Allen Township supervisors seat at the end of his second term, which will end at the end of this year.

He said he feels that serving two full terms of six years each is a fair amount of time to dedicate to the township, and it is time to make room for someone else to run for election.

There are two six-year positions open for election this time.

Hassler said he wanted to report his intentions ahead of time so interested people can get the necessary election petition and paperwork filed in time to be listed on the ballot.
