A collection of locally sourced fine art will be on display at the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts, 427 N. New St., Bethlehem, when “Cordially Invited” opens this Sunday, March 2. The opening reception for the exhibit will take place March 2 from 2-4 p.m. and is free to attend.
A contemporary fine art show primarily highlighting paintings and collage, Cordially Invited is designed to complement the Kemerer Museum’s current exhibit, “Checking In: Bethlehem’s Alluring Accommodations.” Located on the second floor of the museum, the exhibit showcases the work of Kailey Atkinson, Nancy Bossert, Jan Crooker, Figlio (Ron Bossert), Katie Hovencamp, Thomas Kelly, Danny Moyer, Maryann Riker, Abbey Rosko and Erika Stearly.
The community is invited to see the exhibition for free on March 2 while the Kemerer is open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. as part of Free Sundays at the Museum. The day will also include art activities for children, the debut of the reimagined Kemerer Museum Shop and the opportunity to explore the Checking In exhibition. All works in Cordially Invited are also available for purchase.
The Cordially Invited exhibit can also be viewed during all days the Kemerer Museum is open. Museum hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Admission tickets for the Kemerer Museum are on sale now at historicbethlehem.org.
