Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road, will host a concert by Tim Harakal 7 p.m. March 14.

Other bands scheduled to appear include Burn Unplugged Duo March 21, Lou Franco Project March 22, Mississippi Pig Farmers March 28 and The Castaway Trio March 29. These concerts begin 7:30 p.m.

All concerts are free to members, but there is a cost for guests and non-members.

Take a guided hike along the Ironton Rail Trail during the spring historical walk, set for March 22, starting 9 a.m. The four-hour, 7-mile walk begins at the Whitehall Parkway barn, 4041 Chestnut St. No registration is required.

Participants will learn about the 23 historical sites and landmarks along the trail. Bring water, and wear comfortable shoes for this leisurely paced walk. Additional information is available at irontonrailtrail.org or by emailing rail.trail@yahoo.com.

The youth group of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is selling nut rolls, strudel and sticky buns through March 23, with delivery April 6.

Nut roll flavors are nut, poppy and apricot. Strudel is available in apple, blueberry and cherry. Sticky buns are available with and without nut topping.

A free crock-pot-luck dinner will be offered 4-7 p.m. April 4 at Egypt Community Church, 4129 S. Church St. The dinner will include a choice of four crockpot dishes, bread and butter, a doughnut and a beverage.

VFW members should register their children and grandchildren, up to 10 years old, for the Easter egg hunt, scheduled for 1 p.m. April 12.
