Northampton Area High School band is holding a drop-off drive fundraiser 8-11:45 a.m. March 15 in the parking lot at NAHS. The more the band collects and the weight of their collection, the more they will raise.

Accepted items are clothing, shoes, purses, wallets, coats, belts, sheets, towels, linens, tablecloths, hats, scarves, jewelry, backpacks, diapers and household items. Items not accepted are furniture, books, pillows and curtains. All items must be bagged.

Northampton Area Middle School’s Soups and Scoops Empty Bowls event is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 27. This is a community event focused on using art to create an impact on food insecurity in the community. The Empty Bowls portion will include artwork, live music and activities, all provided by NASD students and staff.

Proceeds from this event benefit food banks that serve NASD, including Northampton Area Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and the NAMS Food Pantry.
