Daniel D. Strain, 70, of Northampton, died March 3, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Candace (Thomas) Strain for 17 years.

Born in Salisbury Township, he was the son of the late Daniel R. and Betty (Egge) Strain.

He owned and operated J’s Steaks and Subs, Northampton, since 1980.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Staci L. Wolfe with Adam of Lehighton, Kristopher M. with Amanda of Emmaus, Brandon T. with Jaschell of Alburtis, Aleea M. Clawson with Brandon of Northampton, Liam D. of Northampton and Olivia R. of Northampton; three sisters, Kandi Kohlmeier of Allentown, Patricia of Lebanon and Kerry Shepherd of Ohio; and nine grandchildren, Jaelyn, Dashon, Kieran, Jayce, Kameron, Julian, Sadie, Lochlan and Mila.
