Edelmiro Cintron-Martinez, Jr., 83, of Coplay, North Whitehall Township, died peacefully March 3, 2025, surrounded by his family at his daughter’s home where he resided.
Born Dec. 29, 1941, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Edelmiro Cintron Sr. and the late Antonia Martinez.
He and his wife, Elizabeth Cintron, shared 62 years of marriage on Dec. 21, 2024.
He was last employed as a building superintendent for 18 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Local Union 32 B&J, New York, N.Y
He served his country as a private first class (E-3) in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Elizabeth and Joseph Sanabria of Coplay, and Enid Cintron of Tampa, Fla.; brother Jose Cintron and Lillian Fonseca of Toa Alta, Puerto Rico; sister Iris Velia Monclova and Rafi Monclova of Bayamon, Puerto Rico; grandsons Hillel, Shammai, Avishai Sanabria, and William, Jaden Rodriguez; and two great-grandchildren.
