Parkland school bus driver

Carl R. Breininger, 84, of Fogelsville, died March 3, 2025, at home.

He and his wife, Minnie C. (Rauch) Breininger, were married 64 years last June.

Born in Seipstown, he was a son of the late Paul E. and Eva A. (Sechler) Breininger.

The former owner of Kuhnsville Studabaker Garage for 30 years, after that he worked for 10 years as a truck driver for Faust Hauling and then as a bus driver for the Parkland School District for 15 years.

He was member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fogelsville, where he was on the altar committee for many years.

He was a member of the Ontelaunee Antique Car Club and the Weisenberg Lowhill Historical Society.

He was very proud of his Pennsylvania Dutch heritage.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Craig Breininger (Fern) of Slatington, daughter, Kris Krause (Mike Levan) of Breinigsville, and James Breininger of Walnutport; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Breininger, and a brother, Ernest.
