John D. “Jack” Van Tol, 60, of Walnutport, died March 1, 2025, at St. Luke’s University Hospital-Bethlehem. He was the husband of Lee Ann (Bretzik) Van Tol.

Born in Paterson, N.J., he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Gibson) Van Tol.

He was employed as a forklift operator at Mack Trucks Inc. for several years before retiring. Earlier, he worked for Harry’s U-Pull It, Allentown, as a loader operator for 20 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three stepchildren, Breanna Bretzik of Bethlehem, Branden Bretzik of Walnutport and Brian Strawhacker of Jim Thorpe; a sister, Jane M. Spradlin of Slatington; and two grandchildren, Dante and Damien Cimino.

He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, James T. Spradlin.

Services will be private.
