Parking Authority introduces new app
The Bethlehem Parking Authority is pleased to announce the introduction of PayByPhone as an additional mobile parking app provider, offering customers more flexibility and convenience when managing their parking experience. This move reflects the BPA’s ongoing commitment to leveraging technology to enhance accessibility and provide innovative solutions for residents and visitors.
With the integration of PayByPhone alongside the existing provider ParkMobile, the BPA has established an open dual-app environment that allows users to choose the mobile parking platform that best suits their needs. By expanding the range of payment options, the Bethlehem Parking Authority continues to provide a seamless and user-friendly parking experience that prioritizes efficiency and options.
“This latest initiative underscores our commitment to utilizing technology to improve parking access and convenience in Bethlehem,” said BPA Executive Director Steven Fernstrom. “With the explosive growth of mobile app usage in Bethlehem over the past few years, customers are clearly showing their preference for mobile apps as their primary payment method. By introducing PayByPhone, we’re responding to this trend and offering them even more choices to enhance their parking experience.”
The dual-app environment supports Bethlehem’s dedication to providing access to parking resources. “We are thrilled to partner with the Bethlehem Parking Authority to provide an additional mobile parking payment option for parkers in the city,” said North America PayByPhone Managing Director Carmen Donnell. “With our robust features and numerous benefits available in our app, PayByPhone is excited to serve residents of and visitors to Bethlehem as their top choice when deciding how to manage their mobile parking payments.”
Bethlehem Parking Authority continues to explore innovative solutions to improve the city’s parking ecosystem.
The addition of PayByPhone is part of its comprehensive strategy to continuously provide its customers with more convenient parking options. This empowers customers with greater control over their parking choices while making it convenient to pay for their public parking sessions while visiting Bethlehem. PayByPhone will be available in March of 2025 and its availability will be clearly marked with updated, vibrant, mobile parking centric signage, adding to an already existing user friendly, easy to identify paid public parking signage program.
