So is the whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.

“Ignite Your Imagination” is the theme for the 2025 Lehigh Valley Auto Show, March 20-23, Murray H. Goodman Campus, Lehigh University, Bethlehem.

Vroom, vroom, vroom rumbled a 2006 Mitsubishi Evo, with Kristie Moyer behind the wheel.

The Mitsubishi and the Tesla rolled out of Stabler Athletic and Convocation Center at the conclusion of the Auto Show press conference.

A line of vehicles from The Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association, sponsor of the show, followed: Ineos - Grenadier; Mercedes - S 580; Porsche - Macan EV; Ciocca Subaru - 2025 Forester; Faulkner Cadillac - Chevy Equinox EV; Scott Chevy - Cadillac; Kelly CDJR - Wagoneer series 2, and Kelly Mitsubishi - Outlander SEL PHEV.

“The theme is ‘Ignite Your imagination,” Dan Moyer, Executive Director, Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association, said at the Feb. 18 media preview.

“There are going to be so many cars and trucks that have the latest technology,” Moyer said of the Auto Show theme.

There will be 140,000-square-feet of the latest in automotive technology, including some 500 new vehicles, classic vehicles, custom and tuner vehicles, crossover vehicles, hybrid and full-electric models, and trucks showcased in three venues: Goodman Pavilion, Rauch Fieldhouse and Stabler. There will be 70 car manufacturers represented.

“We’ll have a dozen more manufacturers at our show than any North American Auto Show,” said Moyer.

For Dan Moyer, the Lehigh Valley Auto Show is a family affair.

His daughter, Kristie Moyer, Director, Shiftin2Gear, is running the Shiftin2Gear Tuner Show, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. March 22, with 70 custom-tuned and modified cars.

Kristie Moyer’s car, a 2006 Mitsubishi Evo is decked out in Celestial Unicorn, a film applique that changes from hues of purple to green to gold, and black-glass tinting by Black Glass Tinting, LLC, owned and operated by Travis Yohe, with locations in the Lehigh Valley and Lancaster.

Dan Moyer’s wife, Debbie, was at the Auto Show preview. She drives a 2011 Nissan 370Z. Dan Moyer has a 2024 Mercedes. The family lives in Salisbury Township.

The Auto Show ignites with “Gala Preview Night,” 5:30 p.m. March 19 on the Goodman Campus. The Gala benefits the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Pediatric Unit.

“It really affirms that caring for children is in our DNA,” Michael Spigel, President and CEO, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation, said of Good Shepherd’s mission.

Singer-Songwriter Kendal Conrad will sing the National Anthem at the Gala. Cunningham & Associates, a rock ‘n’ roll cover band, will entertain.

The 2025 Auto Show has expanded electric and hybrid vehicle showcases, highlighting the latest advancements in automotive sustainability; daily “Tasting Events,” where attendees can enjoy local libations while exploring the show, and “Marketplace Marvel,” featuring local businesses.

Participants include students from Northampton Community College, Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School and SkillsUSA.

There will be Thunderbird, Mustang and Corvette car club vehicles and two F1 racing cars on display.

Also on view will be a NASCAR Chevy racing car, sponsored by Rich Mar Florist, owned and operated by John Morrissey, with locations at 1708 Tilghman St, and 749 Mill St., Allentown. The Chevy was driven by Garrett Smithley in 2023 at Dover Motor Speedway.

Rich Mar has sponsored two motor sports drivers from Nazareth: Sage Karam drove an IndyCar to a ninth place finish in the 2022 Indianapolis 500, and Marco Andretti drove an ARCA Menards West Series race car in fall 2024 in Phoenix. Karam is expected to attend the Auto Show.

The Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association, founded in 1998, is made up of 44 new car dealers with 77 franchises. They are responsible for 6,370 jobs, with a combined annual payroll of more than $390 million, according to the 2018 Automotive Industry Economic Impact Study by Auto Outlook, Inc.
