Parkland Garden Club celebrates Christmas

By LISA MIKITKA

Special to The Press

The Parkland Garden Club celebrated Christmas with a party on Dec. 10, 2024, at Madeline’s Restaurant, Fogelsville.

Members and guests were treated to a delicious multicourse buffet followed by dessert and coffee.

The event began with a grateful opening prayer by club Chaplain Patti Molitoris reflective of the winter rest and peace we see in nature and our surroundings.

After dinner, they enjoyed a musical holiday performance by the Olde Towne Carolers, dressed in Charles Dickens Era caroling costumes.

After the performance, the 2024 Laurel Awards were given out.

An optional gift exchange followed.

A total of $852 was collected for Meals on Wheels at the party.

The club donated $200. The rest came from the optional individual donations of those attending the party.
