The Salisbury High School chapter of National Honor Society will host a game night 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 28 in the SHS cafeteria. You do need to RSVP (link on the STSD Facebook page) and children under 14 do need to be with an adult. Games and cards will be provided and snacks and baked goods will be available for purchase. Feb. 28 also marks the mid-marking periods for the third marking period of this school year.

Looking ahead, mark your calendars that all Salisbury Township schools will be closed March 7 for a professional development day.

Salisbury Elementary School will hold its 11th annual purse bingo March 9 at Salisbury Middle School. Doors open 11:45 a.m. and bingo starts 1 p.m. Your ticket includes 20 games of bingo and there will also be specials, 50/50 and a basket raffle. Tickets are available at tinyurl.com/SESBINGO25. This is always a great event.

Registration is now open for Salisbury Youth Association spring in-house baseball. They now have T-ball, coach pitch and minor divisions. Registrations are completely online and close March 9. For more information, or to register, visit SYASports.net.

SYA cheerleading for pre-K to seventh grade students is following the spring football program with a “mini season” to run March 31 to June 1. Practices will be two days a week to start learning cheers and get into the rhythm of the program. Once games start, practices will go to just one day a week with game day taking place on day two.

Games will be on Sundays at SHS with the championship tournament June 1.

There is a cost. Registration will include a folder with all cheerleading cheers, a cheer bow and a new T-shirt. All cheerleaders will wear their cheer bow and T-shirt to games along with black leggings or shorts depending on weather. Cheerleaders should wear white ankle socks and any gym sneaker they are comfortable in that does not slide on. Sneakers must be able to Velcro securely or tie tightly. There are no fundraising requirements since it is a mini season. Register at www.syasports.net.
