Middle school students display extraordinary math skills

Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers President Alexa Rooney has a photo taken with the third place team from Southern Lehigh Middle School.
Southern Lehigh Middle School earns third place in the Top Teams category. Members include: Aayan Agrawal (earned fourth place as an individual and was also recognized as one of the top female participants), Max Bronfenbrenner, Kavi Chaturvedi-Patil, Andy Xie (earned eighth place as an individual), Kasvi Batra, Fatoumata Diarra, Mayra Elgamal, Adriana Finke, Marcus Lam, Bryan Lux, Rhea Lux, Zephaniah Mite, Ayla Motee and coaches Charu Chaturvedi and Ella Scheinler.
The team from Allentown’s Lehigh Valley Academy Regional Charter School wins two awards: Rookie Team Award and Honorable Mention Award. Members include: Sudha Chandrasekaran, Betty McGuire, Aryash Shyam (earned Top 10 student recognition award), Eesha Surendran, David Giganti Dima, Clara Kahley, Lucy McGuire, Jake Tophoney and coaches Kerry Go and Charles Raeford.
