Mackenzie named to Homeland Security Committee

Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, representing the Greater Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania’s 7th District, has been named to the House Homeland Security Committee for the 119th Congress.

In this critical role, Mackenzie says he will work to strengthen border security, combat emerging threats, and protect local communities here in Pennsylvania and throughout the country.

“I am honored to serve on the Homeland Security Committee,” Mackenzie said in the news release. “Securing our borders, supporting law enforcement, and ensuring the safety of our communities are top priorities for me and the people of the Greater Lehigh Valley.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues to safeguard the American people and secure our border once and for all.”

“I’m excited to welcome Rep. Ryan Mackenzie to the House Homeland Security Committee,” said Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green. “He will be an important voice for law enforcement as we work to secure our borders and ensure CBP officers and Border Patrol agents can carry out their essential missions.

“We have important work ahead of us, and we are lucky to have Rep. Mackenzie on our team.”

The Homeland Security Committee is tasked with oversight and legislation related to border security, counterterrorism, cybersecurity, and emergency response.

Mackenzie brings a proven record of public service and dedication to keeping communities safe, having previously led the charge against illegal immigration in the Pennsylvania State House.
