At the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners meeting held Feb. 20, commissioners approved Ordinance 2025-01, which is for the general obligation bond for property acquisitions.

This will provide funds for various capital projects and provides funds for the purchase of properties for farmland preservation and open space.

Ordinance 2025-02 also was approved amending Chapter 5 of the Code Enforcement. This ordinance adopts the 2021 International Fire Code and Modifications.

The Volunteer Service Earned Income Tax Credit was approved for 28 applicants. Each applicant will be issued a tax credit certification.

The minutes from the Feb. 6 board of commissioners meeting were approved as well as the bill list for payment.

The Wescosville Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project has opened for bids.

The next regularly scheduled Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners meeting will be held 6 p.m. March 6 at the township municipal building, 3400 Brookside Road.
